Moose - For Sale

2020, 17 ½ hands (sticked) bay gelding By Cloud Computing, out of a Candy Ride mare (see pedigree here).

Moose is a huge, regal, gentle giant, with a big, stately Roman head that is just so handsome. Moose has been here since last fall. He got plenty of down time upon arrival, and has been slowly and thoughtfully restarted. He WTC both in the arena and out in the open (loves trail riding!) , and has been started over small fences. He recently went on his first off-property field trip, to go cross-country schooling, and took to it like a fish to water! He is brave, honest and a total natural! (See video). I guarantee that this horse will both event and foxhunt, and will do so with me if he sticks around.

Moose is a big-moving, uphill type of ride; a loose, rangey mover with plenty of suspension and a springy, rocking-horse canter to DIE FOR. He is both wickedly fancy and super straightforward at the same time- a real “leg-to-hand” kind of ride with a buttery soft mouth, all while being super comfortable and willing. My very novice working student has ridden him numerous times- the horse is as kind as the day is long.

Now here’s the fine print:

This horse is a rather traumatized and misunderstood individual; although he is resilient, and rapidly adapting to a kind, patient, loving environment, he has clearly been through some psychological trauma and takes a while to trust new people. Thus, he will require a patient, kind individual that can build his trust. Moose is a total affectionate lovebug once you earn his trust, (i.e. will follow you around the paddock breathing his warm breath on the side of your face and nuzzling your pockets for cookies!), but is understandably leery of strangers.

Moose has clean legs, aside from pin fire marks on his shins that are purely cosmetic. He has some significant scarring along the right side of his body- shoulder and hindquarter. I am unsure where those came from, but they are there. He also has several missing and/or broken incisors- our equine dentist hypothesized that this is from some type of accident. The rest of his mouth is normal, and he has no trouble grazing/eating. Lastly, he has a mild club foot. Our farrier has had to do some creative gluing to patch his feet together after a very wet spring resulted in a few pulled shoes, but his feet are coming around. None of this affects his soundness whatsoever, and he is barefoot behind.

Moose lives outside 24/7 in a mixed group and gets along great with others. He does not enjoy being in a stall for more than short stints, and would prefer a home where he can live outside with buddies.

Diva- for sale

2019, 16h jet black mare by Freud, out of a Blame mare (see pedigree here).

This mare has a pedigree to die for, and the stunning looks to match. She is a true jet black, with a big white blaze -just an absolutely jaw dropping specimen.

Diva has 3 correct, comfortable gaits, and is currently learning lateral movements. She knows shoulder-in, leg yield and turn on the haunches. She hacks out nicely as well. Diva is a more forward, sensitive ride, and appreciates a soft rider. She has been started over fences, and is a natural! She loves jumping, and is both brave, honest and clever. I could see her cleaning up in the jumper classes with a capable kid or AA.

Diva is an affectionate, inquisitive, highly intelligent individual that would love to have her own person to love on. Being a sales barn, we have a lot of horses coming and going, which does not suit Diva very well. She would prefer a more stable living situation where her stable mates are not changing every other week- i.e. a quiet forever home that is not a sales barn!

Diva has perfectly tight, clean legs and excellent feet. This horse does not tie, but she does ground tie quite well, so that has been our workaround to the tying issue. If this is a deal breaker for you, please do not inquire.

Estilo- for sale

2022, 15.3h (sticked) bay mare by Tapiture (Tapit)- see pedigree here.

Estilo is a quiet, easygoing filly that will be super straightforward for an amateur to bring along in the discipline of their choosing (although she really screams “hunter” to me!). Estilo has a petite, refined build, but still has plenty of growing and filling out to do.

She WTC quietly under saddle, on a loopy rein, and has balanced, comfortable gaits, including the most adorable daisy-cutter trot, and soft, balanced canter. I could see her being a children’s hunter, with her adorable flat-kneed movement and quiet demeanor.

Estilo is easy to handle, loves attention, loves people, and is just a doll to have in the barn. She has clean legs, good feet, and zero vices.

2022, 16.2/16.3h (approx) dark bay mare by Candygram (Candy Ride), out of an Arch mare - see pedigree here.

This BIG, stunning mare is one that will stop you dead in your tracks. She is an unbelievably, uncommonly nice horse with huge, floaty gaits, a HUGE presence, and is put together in the most gorgeous, uphill package. This is a real upper level type horse. I am super excited to get her going.

This mare has no vices, perfectly clean legs, and excellent feet.
