“Stewart” is a 2020, 16h black bay gelding by Flat Out (Flatter)- See pedigree here. Stewart is a stunning, solidly-built specimen, with a great brain and sweet personality. He is clean legged, with good feet (only shod up front), and zero vices.

Stewart is a straightforward, push-type ride (read: KICK RIDE) with correct, balanced gaits, and an especially lovely, rhythmical canter that you can ride on a loopy rein. He is still a bit "tracky" and tight in his body, having just raced prior to arriving here a couple of weeks ago, but is loosening up every day with 24/7 turnout. (Ahh, the miracles of ample turnout!) When we started him over his first few fences, Stewart demonstrated excellent natural jumping instincts and gorgeous, knee-tucking form. He literally jumps a 10, and lands in the softest lopey canter on the backside. He hacks out quietly as well, on a loose rein.

This is 100 percent an amateur-friendly restart; he is SO QUIET. I see him as being the ultimate all-rounder type who could do just about anything; pony club rallies, foxhunting, eventing, jumpers, local hunters, trail riding, you name it. When they are this easy and willing, the sky's the limit. Stewart stands at the mounting block, for the farrier, and on the cross-ties. He is a sweet, easy, lovable gentleman.

Is this the fanciest moving horse on the planet? No. If you're looking for your next flashy, spectacular-moving upper level prospect this probably isn't what you want. But- Is he the most dead quiet restart we've ever had here? You betcha. So, If you're an amateur looking for something safe, kind and easy to do a little bit of everything with, he's your guy.

I am honestly debating on keeping this one around for a while longer so that I can take him to a hunter pace, a little jumper show, xc schooling, hound schooling, etc, after which his tag will increase significantly. If it were hunt season, he would already be hilltopping. But, alas- for now, here's your chance to get him while he's still at a lower tag, so we can make room for new arrivals.

Jett- In Training

“Jett” is a 2021, 16.2+, bay, Kentucky-bred gelding by Get Stormy, out of a Scat Daddy mare (see pedigree here). Jett retired sound after only 7 starts, and comes from trusted racing connections that really do right by their horses.

This young boy is clean-legged, with great feet and gorgeous, lofty movement. He has a snuggly, in-your-pocket personality.

Jett had a month of let down time, and has really flourished in his time off the track. Under saddle, Jett demonstrates maturity beyond his years. He WTC quietly around the arena, loads, unloads and ships to new places like a gentleman. He hacks out quietly, and navigates trot poles and cavaletti with ease. We have not started him over fences yet due to his age. He is an extremely chill, easygoing dude.

“AJ” is a 2018, 16.2h black-bay gelding by Freud, out of a Thunder Gulch mare. Freud is my favorite Thoroughbred sire for sport, because he tends to throw fancy moving babies that are super easy restarts!
