Tall Tale Equestrian offers lessons, training and quality sales horses in Crozet, Virginia, and is the home base of event rider and USDF bronze medalist, Adriana Nannini.

Adriana has competed through the CCI2*/Intermediate level eventing with her longtime partner, Tall Tale, with numerous top-5 finishes and wins together throughout USEA Areas I, II and III. Adriana is also a USDF bronze medalist; she takes great pride in developing quality Thoroughbreds in the sport of dressage. She is currently focusing on training her various young Thoroughbreds in dressage, eventing and foxhunting disciplines.

Adriana is an active member of Farmington Hunt Club, and was recently elected to the FHC Board of Governors. She has found great joy in bringing along OTTBs in the sport and tradition of foxhunting.

At Tall Tale Equestrian, we believe that hard work and perseverance are the keys to success. Our training philosophy has a strong emphasis on horsemanship, preparedness and cultivating a solid partnership between horse and rider. Adriana’s teaching style exudes positivity and fosters confidence. She strives to develop well-rounded horses and horsemen, in a team atmosphere where students are treated like family.

A passionate, lifetime advocate for the American Thoroughbred, Adriana specializes in sourcing Thoroughbreds off the track and transitioning them into careers as sport horses. She has participated in the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover in 2021 and 2023, and is a supporter of the Jockey Club’s Thoroughbred Incentive Program.

In the media, Adriana’s “Road to the Makeover” blog series was published on Eventing Nation during the 2021 lead-up to the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover. In 2023, she was a featured guest on the Retired Racehorse Radio podcast “Making the Makeover” series .
